For this texture, I used a scanned collage of aluminum foil with packaging stickers and imported it into Sampler to be modified with an Embroidery filter

After creating my embroidery texture in Adobe Substance Sampler from a scanned 2D collage, I applied it to a 3D model in Blender in preparation for 3D printing.
Blender tour of my 3D model of Looney-Tunes-esque eyeballs laid out in a zoetrope fashion. This model was 3D resin printed and installed in a sculpture with a servo motor.
